SSRI Conference - October 4-5th, 2002

Friends,

I'm sure most of you are aware of the upcoming SSRI conference scheduled for
October 4-5th, 2002 in Philadelphia, PA.

I am trying to determine who has made a firm commitment to attend, as well as who is interested in sharing their personal story in the scheduled victim's forums. Unfortunately, the time allotted for victims to speak will not accommodate all who may wish to present their personal story, therefore we will be limiting the selection to 5 or 6 individuals. We want to have a fair representation of the myriad adverse reactions that can result from the use of SSRIS specifically. We will be looking at the SSRI adverse reactions first. However, if your adverse reaction was the result of a different psychiatric drug (not an SSRI), you will still be considered for a speaking position.

If you are planning on attending this conference, please let me know. We need to get as close to the actual count as possible to ensure we have a large enough auditorium. In addition, if you are interested in presenting your story, please let me know as soon as possible. Dr Marks and I will then narrow it down to the number that can be accommodated. If you are selected, we will then want a draft of your proposed presentation prior to the conference to make sure that several of the ADERS (Adverse Drug Event Reactions) are representative of the whole.

Once again, here are the links for the conference:

Thanks to all!

PS... It would be great if you would forward this notice along to others who may be unaware of this conference.
