The Technical Assistance Collaborative, Inc. (TAC) announces the availability of Section 8 Made Simple: Using the Housing Choice Voucher Program To Assist People with Disabilities!

This 98-page publication, funded generously through the Melville Charitable Trust, is available by mail or on the Internet.

Section 8 Made Simple covers the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's (HUD's) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program in detail, including:

--Overview of the Section 8 Program
--How The Section 8 Program Is Administered
--Eligibility, Applications, and Waiting List Process
--Screening, Verification, and Appeals
--Determining The Total Tenant Payment And The Section 8 Rent Subsidy
--Getting A Section 8 Voucher And Obtaining Housing
--Keeping A Section 8 Voucher
--Reasonable Accommodation and Reasonable Modification
--Section 8 Project-Based Assistance
--Section 8 Homeownership Assistance

TAC can provide one printed copy of the publication to each individual/agency free of charge if you email info@tacinc.org with your address or call 617-742-5657. Additional copies can be made, with TAC's permission, as long as the original cover of the book is distributed with the text, indicating that it is a TAC product.
