Journey of Hope

You are not alone.  Approximately 4,600 people in Santa Cruz County struggle with a serious psychiatric disability or mental illness.  It is estimated that nationally one in four families have at least one member who has a psychiatric disability.

 

The purpose of the Journey of Hope is to assist families and friends in understanding and coping with such disabilities as depression, manic-depression (bi-polar), schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, and obsessive compulsive disorder.  Professionals and consumers are also encouraged to attend.

bulletCreating supportive environments
bulletMedication and substance abuse issues
bulletCoping with difficult situations
bulletFinding and using community resources

The Journey of Hope series will be held at the Community Connection Building located at 300 Harvey West Blvd. in Santa Cruz.  All classes are from 6pm - 8pm. 

Pre-registration is required.
