Free Mary T. Watson

Mary T. Watson is my dearest friend. We have been friends for almost two decades. We were recently married on December 31, 2001.

I was serving as her legal guardian after I could no longer tolerate watching her "freefalling" from psychotropic medication and the doctors refusing to fill her prescriptions if she could not make their appointments or tolerate their clinical demeanor. They would simply cut her off the medication. As her guardian I was able to obtain prescriptions without her having to be subjected to interaction with them thereby at least protecting her from the callous withdrawals to which she was subjected. At the point that I began to stand up for her right to refuse psychiatric treatment altoghether her guardianship was attacked by an Assistant Attorney General who felt that I was not doing the right thing by protecting her from the brain injuring effects of the chemical toxins. He claimed to represent Adult Protective Services. I was forced out of the guardianship and a psychologist was put in place. Mary was once again forced on the drugs despite already showing signs of injury from them and we have not been allowed to see each other.

The issue of injury from the drugs is still an issue in Mary's guardianship which has not been resolved. We already know what the typical psychiatrist might say. I encourage people to send their stories and their wisdom to both Mary I. Yu the judge overseeing Mary's guardianship and Christine O. Gregoire the Washington State Attorney General. Unless they hear from us they may never know the truth about these drugs from "the people" at such a critical time. A guardianship is supposed to protect the rights of an individual and is not an "involuntary commitment". Christine O. Gregoire is supposed to protect people from harmful products. Judge Mary I. Yu is supposed to protect Mary rights. Now is the time to speak up. Let's free each other one by one, one state at a time.

WRITE AND TELL THEM THE TRUTH ABOUT THE DRUGS:

The Honorable Mary I. Yu
King County Superior Court

Christine O. Gregoire
Washington State Attorney General
