Secular Poems

by David Hacker

Richest mans love

Your love fills me
like the ocean fills a thimble.
Without a penny
I am the richest man in the world
having only you to love.

Stupidity

Stupidity is,
a most annoying thing.
Stupidity i can't stand.
It's maddening
It's maddening

Arguing

Arguing is oh,
such a tedious task.
It leads nowhere,
And does so quite fast.

Cleverness

Cleverness can be,
enemy or friend.
Depending who wields it,
what state he is in.

Revenge

Revenge does not,
belong to any man.
When one thinks it's his,
It returns back again.

Insanity

Insanity is a little something,
that every one has.
But when anger is quick,
it will stick.

Inspiration

Inspiration is fleeting,
Catch it while you can.
Take it were it leads you,
Before you grasp at sand.

The sun

The sun feels so good,
it's like a warm hot toddy.
It's a warm stellar breeze,
from a heavenly body.

Pain

Pain is my constant companion,
It goes where ever I go.
It very rarely leaves me,
Even when i go to and fro.

Loneliness

I am a lonely man.
Lonely for the feminine touch.
I need loving and affection,
I wish I had too much.

Cart Love

She drives a stake,
straight through my heart.
When i look at her,
carry me off in a cart.

Lotus Love

My heart leaped three times today
I wonder if she noticed.
My heart leaped for a beautiful women today,
I wish I drove a Lotus.

Recourse Love

Love is,
a most powerful force.
It's selfless, giving,
without recourse.

Love is a reason

Love is a reason to live,
It's makes ones life full.
Love gives purpose to life,
when nothing else will.

Giving love

Love when little comes back,
'Tis better to give than receive.
If everyone was full of love,
None would be in need.

Apple

Apples got the hottest computers,
they really are hot.
They're almost alive,
and yet, they are not.

Woman

That Woman is fine
I wish she were mine
She’s so fair it’s unfair
Does she care?
I want to elope
She’d probably say nope
I love her physique
It’s her that I seek
But I don’t know her
Oh well where’s a flower
I’ll give it to her
She’d look good in fur
