Spiritual Poems

by David Hacker

My Angel

I love my angel,
she's extra special.
Carefully watching over me,
Just like a sentry.
Praying with compassion,
Is always in fashion,
With my angel,
Making me get well.
My angel knows,
her wisdom flows.
She takes the trouble,
her enthusiasm bubbles.
With my angel around,
I am never down.
Thanks be to my angel,
She is so helpful.

Wisdom

Wisdom is,
a very rare bird.
Seldom seen,
seldom heard.

Simple things

I thank god,
That I enjoy simple things,
Like peace, fresh air and
beauty.
It's good to enjoy such simple things,
It is almost ones duty.

God

God is understanding and forgiving,
His loving kindness is everlasting,
He is all powerful and all knowing,
His grace is ever showing.
He’ll take me under his wing,
Praises to him I will sing.
Though Sin is deaths sting,
life in him is everlasting,
With Jesus, king of kings.

Humility

Humility is refreshing,
down to ones bones.
It stops one from stumbling.
Away or at home.

Peace

Peace starts with God,
then in the heart, then it
spreads throughout the body.
Many times I need peace,
and do not know it,
yet without it I'll feel jotty.

Find god

Are you lost
Like a lost sole?
Find god fast,
Before you grow old.

The harvest

Exquisitely delightful is the Lord.
He touches me when I am bored.
I feel his spirit, I feel it now.
Hand me a plow.
His seed I’ll sow.
I’ll sow it now.
How is the harvest coming?
Very well, wow!

Grace

Grace is everything
when your about to feel deaths sting
Grace saves you
And an angel too.

Onward Christian Solders

Now the day is over,
the night is drawing nigh,
shadows of the evening,
steal across the sky,
onward Christian Solders,
marching as to war,
against the force of evil,
as ever before,
with the cross of Jesus,
He is there before us.
He is heavens door.
For ever, ever more.
