Mental Health In Troubled Times

Beginning Wednesday, September 4, 2002, the award-winning public radio series, The Infinite Mind, will broadcast "Mental Health In Troubled Times," featuring three shows during three consecutive weeks to examine the public state of mind that has been shaped by the the September 11 attacks, ethics scandals involving corporations and churches, and people's changing relationships to work over the last year.

The first show, "Terror, Trauma & Healing: One Year Later" will look at how Americans have coped with the aftermath of September 11 and threat of future attacks. The second "Ethics: A National Crisis of Conscience?" will examine how people and their trust in institutions or businesses have been affected, while the final show, "Work" will examine the impact changes in the economy or people's new sense of priorities.

The Infinite Mind is carried by 200 radio station nationwide and hosted by former National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) Administrator Fred Goodwin, M.D., with commentary by John Hockenberry.
