Charitable Status for the Foundation On Friday the 25th of February members from the Chipmunka Foundation board will meet with the charity commission who have agreed in principle to award the Chipmunka Foundation with charitable status. This will go along way towards developing the Chipmunka brand.
Community Care Interview Chief Executive Jason Pegler recently gave an interview for Community Care magazine about how the police treat people with mental health issues. Jason said that the way the police treat people with mental health issues in similar to the health service. “Their needs to be compassion training brought in at the grass roots level”. Jason himself had received very bad care at the hands of the police in the past but knows from his own work giving talks to new Metropolitan Police Officers that new police recruits do want to understand how someone with a mental health issue actually feels.
