FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Project: Return to Work Inc. Announces a New Job Initiative

Return To Work Inc. (R2W) is a private, nonprofit organization headquartered in Boulder, Colorado. R2W's mission is to assist persons with disabilities to return to work, or perhaps even start work for the first time. R2W President and founder, Rob Brazell, says, "It is very difficult for a person with a disability to find a job. The unemployment rate among persons with disabilities is over 50%, but it doesn't have to be this way." R2W is initiating a new program that combines the latest technology with skilled profess ional counselors to connect persons with disabilities with real job opportunities.

Brazell says, "We are using new technologies to streamline the employment process for persons with disabilities. We help our consumers cut through the paperwork, delay and discrimination they have faced in the past and go directly to where jobs can be found." R2W offers its consumers the opportunity to present their qualifications to interested employers via the Internet. Consumers can also receive assistance evaluating their interests and qualifications to make realistic employment choices. A counselor is available to assist consumers with the technology and to work out issues regarding placement and beginning work.

Brazell says, "Many people in our nation work at home. Unfortunately, persons with disabilities often don't have the opportunity for this type of employment. That is too bad, because it can be a wonderful place for a person with a dis ability to work. Working at home can overcome many problems, especially those that involve transportation, the need to take rest breaks, and the need for specialized equipment. R2W has a focus on assisting persons to find work at home."

Florida's ABLE Trust recently granted R2W funds to start a pilot site. Mr. Brazell says, "We encourage any person with a disability who is looking for employment to sign up for FREE services with R2W. You have nothing to lose." It's easy to sign up. Go to the organization's web site, www.R2W.org, click on JOBS and apply. If you don't see a job that interests you, apply under ALL OTHER POSITIONS. R2W does the rest.
