Mental Health Summit

October 13-14, 2003

TO: Community of Santa Cruz County; Santa Cruz County Department of Mental Health & Substance Abuse Services; Mental Health Summit 2003 Project, Santa Cruz; and, Board of Supervisors, County of Santa Cruz

FROM: LOCAL MENTAL HEALTH BOARD OF SANTA CRUZ COUNTY

RE: Mental Health Summit, 13-14 October 2003

DATE: 14 July 2003

The LOCAL MENTAL HEALTH BOARD HEREBY:

(1) DECLARES AND LENDS its moral and public support to the Mental Health Summit planned for 13-14 October 2003 in Santa Cruz County;

(3) JOINS AND INCORPORATES HEREIN RESOLUTION NO. 76.3, unanimously passed and adopted by the Santa Cruz County Board of Supervisors, 24 June 2003, “RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING ‘MENTALLY HEALTHY COMMUNITY’ DAYS AND SUPPORT FOR THE MENTAL HEALTH SUMMIT ON OCTOBER 13-14, 2003;" and,

(3) ACKNOWLEDGES, ENDORSES AND APPRECIATES the commitment of Rama Khalsa and Norm Wyman on behalf of the Santa Cruz Department of Mental Health & Substance Abuse in providing County personnel representation (one each, Adults’ and Children’s Services) to the 2003 Mental Health Summit Project.

Indeed, especially in these times, praise and encouragement are due anyone willing to give (yet more of) their time, energy and expertise to enliven and unify our entire citizenry to accept the honor and responsibility... in not only protecting and enhancing the services we do have, but in improving the health, security, economy and very quality of life of us all... through county-deep, yet global, vision and involvement.

Respectfully submitted,

XXX,
Member, and on behalf, of the LMHBSCC
