Consumer Discussion with Neal Adams

Dr. Neal Adams will be at MHCAN Feb 22, Friday from 10 to 11:30 a.m.   Neal was the former Medical Director and Mental Health Director in Santa Cruz. He is now the Medical Director for the state.

Please come and invite other consumers to come. Neal takes consumer questions seriously and gives a variety of honest answers.

He wants to talk about the possibility of Recovery and stability -- what the research shows.

He also will explain "evidence-based practice" what that means and how it is determined and why the state wants to put its money behind programs that have been shown to work.

He will not respond specifically to consumer's grumps about current medications they are being prescribed, except to suggest ways they might talk to their doctor and be in partnership.

If you can't come, please mention this talk to at least one consumer.

We can provide transportation. Call 469-0462 the day before.
