I Cried Today

I cried today

About something that I thought,

That I hoped went away

I fooled myself

So that I could play

I moved to another state

Hoping to leave it all behind

But inside I felt angry and hate

I didn’t know it was mine

My mother died

And I forgot to say goodbye

I had no feelings

Because I had too much pride

But know I realize

I sure miss her smile

And her warm heart

She had wisdom

And she had smarts

Space

positive space

negative space

one is nonexistent

without the other

and without either

there would be no time

and as far as matter goes

that is what we call

positive,

we call negative

so when someone asks me

why are you so negative

I have no answer.

when someone asks

what’s the matter

no answer again.

there is too much to say

in too little time.

how does one

clear one’s mind

of the clutter?

forget the mind and

follow the HEART

Oh Help

If there is one small moment

a trifle in time

a place where every argument

has reason and rhyme

and every minute particle

falls into line

let me find it now
