Santa Cruz County Vet Center
offers confidential help for Veterans, service members, and their families at no cost in a non-medical setting. Services include counseling for for needs such as depression, PTSD, and the psychological effects of military sexual trauma (MST).

The Camp Recovery Center is proud to serve United States military veterans who are seeking treatment for substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health concerns through the Department of Veterans Affairs Community Care Network near Santa Cruz & San Jose.

K9 for Warriors 

​Determined to end veteran suicide, K9s For Warriors is the nation’s largest provider of trained Service Dogs to military veterans suffering from PTSD, traumatic brain injury and/or military sexual trauma.

Wounded Warrior Project

Through interactive programs, rehabilitative retreats, and professional services, veterans suffering from the invisible wounds of service can build resilience to help overcome mental health conditions, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), military sexual trauma (MST), traumatic brain injury (TBI) and more.

CalVet Mental Health Services

A variety of resources are listed on this platform for veterans seeking mental health aid. The Coming Home Project is a non-profit organization devoted to providing expert, compassionate care, support, education, and stress management tools for Iraq and Afghanistan veterans, service members, their families, and their care providers. The Network of Care website provides a comprehensive listing of mental health and other resources for service members, veterans and their families.
