Join our NAMI Connection Support Group!

NAMI Connection Recovery Support Group is a free, peer-led support group for any adult who has experienced symptoms of a mental health condition (no diagnosis required).

You will gain insight from hearing the challenges and successes of others, and the groups are led by trained leaders who've been there.

NAMI’s support groups are unique because they follow a structured model to ensure you and others in the group have an opportunity to be heard and to get what you need.

  • Free of cost to participants
  • Designed for adults (18+) with mental health conditions
  • Led by people with mental health conditions
  • 90 minutes long and meets 3x/week
  • No specific medical therapy or treatment is endorsed
  • Confidential
  • ​Drop-in friendly

Mondays 1:00 - 2:30 p.m. PT
Wednesdays 1:00 - 2:30 p.m. PT
and Fridays 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. PT


To attend our groups, please complete the registration form below. You will immediately receive an email with the Zoom link. You will only need to do this once, and will be able to use the same link for all groups moving forward.

Connection Support Group FAQs

​Q: I'm a health care provider/student or a family member, can I come just to watch?
A:
No. Our groups are confidential and reserved for those looking for support with their mental health challenges. Please email anastasia@namiscc.org or call (831)-824-0406 so we can find another way to get you the information you're looking for.

Q: I'm not sure if I'm a good fit for this group.
A: If you're 18 or over and are looking for support, give us a visit! There's no commitment or requirement to participate. Get to know our community and see if we're what you're looking for. Common topics of discussion are depression, anxiety, mania, paranoia, hearing voices, intrusive thoughts, substance use, finding helpful providers and services, advantages and disadvantages of taking medication, relationships, and so much more!

Q: What do I need to do to join?
A: 
Just register once using the link near the top of this page, and you'll automatically receive an email with the link to join all future Connection support groups. Use the emailed link to join our groups every Monday, and Wednesday from 1:00 - 2:30 p.m., and Fridays from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. If you're new to Zoom, please visit our Zoom Troubleshooting page. Our groups are free of cost and drop-in friendly.

Q: Are you LGBTQ+ friendly?
A: Yes! We welcome members of the LGBTQ+ community.

Q: How many people attend?
A: Our groups have on average around 7 participants per group - we have had as few as 5 and as many as 15 join.

​Q: What is the typical age range for this group?
A:
We have a variety of participants, from age 18 to age 70+. We deeply value diversity and learn from each other's experiences.
